I was planning a repeat of “under the influence of rain” - the show that was scrubbed due to evil internet gremlins 3 wks ago. And I will do that too but for 12/19 Sun show I wanted to tip the metaphorical musical hat to Capt Beefheart.
The Capt shuffled it off to the Ultimate Radar Station, so in Don’s honor I’m posting this American Bandstand clip. Liberty (a very mainstream label) was trying to position Don as a white blues singer. Thus this version of “Diddy Wah Diddy”.
There are so much odd fashion and disconcertingly outre about the appearance of the alleged Bandstand teens but I must forbid myself the use of adjectives and many adverbs lest I offend. Look and think for yourself.
