Hollow Earth Radio

Hollow Earth Radio is a community-run online radio station that presents a forum for music, sounds and perspectives commonly under-represented by the media. We support the local music community in the Pacific Northwest by exposing works that have yet to be unearthed or have long been dormant.

David N “under the influence” best of 2011

While waiting to interview the Sonics, I was killing time @ Old School Pizzeria, so here’s my spectacular and death defying Best of 2011.

    1. Some undiscovered folkie who OD’d @ 20 will have his or her entire oevure including out takes p…ressed onto vinyl. We’ll all swoon and shed a tear.

    2. Curtains For You will release another stunning cd. Most trendsters won’t listen until one of their tunes is picked up for the soundtrack of the new film “Cowboys and Aliens”

    3. The Sonics long anticipated live DVD/cd will break out huge

    4. Zoned out largely unknown psychedelic group from Cambridge reunite for a tour and put out a new cd. Then declare they hate each all over again and quit

    5. Uni and her ukelele become world famous after a cartoon short based on “All over the world” wins an Oscar, Grammy, and a Golden Globe

    6. Suicidal, depressive, moany songstress will lead a Seattle based emo group to a hit cd and reality tv show fame

    7. Seacats (teen rockers from the sticks) put out a full length cd that rocks the nation. And buy a platform for their bassist to stand on

    8. Obscure primitive whining of a heretofore unknown ethnic ensemble explode into the consciousness of every hipster. We’ll all ape knowing all about them for years. The band moves to LA while their native land sinks into oblivion

    9. The Posies’ next album has a million selling mp3. Ken gives me a job writing best of lists.

    10. Michael Jackson (still dead as of this date) has a new new cd that sells more units than all living artists in history
